Frequently Asked Questions
What vaccinations do you require?
We require Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella. Please note: As of Oct. 1st, 2018 we will start requiring the canine flu vaccine, which must cover the H3N8 AND the H3N2 strains. There is a one-shot combo but the first time your dog receives this vaccine they will get the initial shot then will need to go back 4-6 weeks later for a booster, after that it’s just a once a year vaccine. Please don’t hesitate to call us with any questions. We also If your dog cannot receive vaccinations due to a health concern, please have proper documentation from your vet. Please also note that we DO accept blood titer tests to prove their immunity. Titer testing, also called serology and antibody testing, is a simple blood test to ensure that a dog has responded to vaccination with a specific “core” virus vaccine.
At what age, do you take puppies?
We take puppies around the age of 4 months. They must have their second round of shots including rabies.
Do you require reservations?
We do require reservations for both boarding and daycare. We generally can accept last minute reservations unless it’s over a major holiday, so please give us a call before coming in without a reservation. You can make reservations through your account at home as well. If you know you need regular daycare on certain days, we can create a standing reservation for you.
Does anyone stay overnight with the dogs?
We don’t have anyone stay overnight with the dogs. We have done this in the past and stopped doing it simply because the dogs do not want to get up to go potty or play. They are tired from the day’s activities.
